Revenge of the Nerds

Rick Snyder's new "nerd" ad is effective, I think, but it is a very unusual tactic.  Usually, politicians try make themselves one of the people, whereas Snyder is saying that he is better than the average person.  It's hard to see how much further he can go with this.  The way he is going, he might eventually run an ad saying that non-nerds aren't worthy of running for office or and should stick to their sporting events and parties.  

For the record, here is the deficition of a nerd from The Free Dictionary:

nerd: n.

1. Foolish, inept, or unattractive person
2. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical puruits but is felt to be socially inept.
